one of the first ecolodges in Oman, our lodge is located on the Indian Ocean (Oman Gulf), in a spectacular setting between Taqa and Salalah, just meters away from a fresh water creek called “Khour Souly”, where camels, foxes, and birds come to drink.
The landscape is unique: you will be left speechless by the beautiful coast lines with incredible sunrises and sunsets
The Souly Lodge offers the perfect location to take a break from everyday life in a calm and natural environment. Relax and watch the local wildlife, like the camels on their daily walk to Khour Souly or the dolphins playing near the coast. All throughout the year, thousand of varieties of birds fly around the bungalows, nest in the palm trees nearby and can be spotted flying and fishing in the waves. Enjoy the endless natural beaches, go for a swim in crystal clear waters or for a long walk on white sands. During sardine-fishing season you can also watch the local fishermen at work.
We originally built Souly Camp as a place for our guests to enjoy the spirit of the Bedouin life and escape from civilization for a day or an evening.
Three traditional Bedouin tents, comfortably furnished with carpets and poufs, are situated around a campfire place. We can host up to 50 guests here, which makes it a perfect place for a private family event or a special company excursion.
We invite you to join us for a magical evening around the campfire.
After watching the spectacular sunset you can enjoy the starlit sky while listening to Arabic guitar (‘’oud’’) music and songs.
We offer campfire dinner three times a week. (Please book in advance)
